FLD Website Launched

The mission of FLD?is to work with?poor rural communities to improve food security and living conditions. It is moving forward under the leadership of new director Mr Sok Somith.

Farmer Livelihood Development (FLD)?grew out of the SCALE (Cambodia Action?Aquaculture on Low Expenditure) project?established by Cambodia Action?in 1991.?SCALE was a?food security programme focused on encouraging fish farming in the poorest villages. It received significant funding through SAO and from DfID, the EU and Tearfund (among others).

It later?expanded with the support of NZ Aid into integrated rural development projects.?It localised as?FLD which became a Cambodian registered NGO in 2002.

Nigel Goddard is the vice chairman of the FLD Board.
