Engage 09 Wycliffe/CA visit
Wycliffe UK and Cambodia Action put together a team to go to Cambodia last July. They went to observe, participate in and encourage the project work and staff.  They spent most time with the ICC projects whose staff work with the minorities, teaching them to read and providing education, food security and health services. As part of the literacy work, ICC linguists are writing dictionaries and devising alphabets for languages that have hitherto not been written down from amongst the (approximately) twenty minority groups that live within Cambodia.

Because of our interest in the Scriptures we also met up with Christians who are involved in Bible translation into the minority languages. This work is in its very early stages, many of the groups do not have any scriptures in their own language as yet.
